ISA Liwan Innovation Centre features four thematic workshops-Smart Manufacturing, Robotics, Digital Audio-Visual and Future Agriculture and collaborates with world-class STEAM partners to offer a curated collection of over 2,000 premium international learning resources.
The Innovation programme offers interdisciplinary STEAM education in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics for students in Grades 1-12. Integrated with resources from the MIT Fab Lab global maker laboratory, the curriculum employs project-based learning to inspire multi-dimensional thinking and creativity, developing students’ comprehensive abilities to solve complex problems.

Core Modules

Taihe · Five Sounds Therapy System
China Regional Invention Convention (ICC) National First Prize
Participated in the International Exchange and Display Competition as part of the Chinese delegation.
Drawing inspiration from the Yellow Emperor’s Inner Canon, ISA Liwan students synthesised knowledge from traditional Chinese culture, electronic engineering, acoustic design, and AI technology to create an intelligent system designed to restore harmony between body and mind.

AI Intelligent Early Warning System
International Youth STEAM Education Competition (IYSEC)
This work addresses wildlife-vehicle collisions on G109 Qinghai-Tibet Highway through IoT broadcasting and edge AI localised early warning. Warning posts use AI vision and ultrasonic radar to measure animal distance and speed, broadcasting data to in-vehicle receivers. These receivers independently calculate using GPS and dynamic safe-speed algorithms, displaying alerts and voice broadcasting to prevent collisions.

Inclusive Multi-Modal Risk Perception System for Healthy Ageing Communities (OASIS)
China Regional Invention Convention (ICC) Provincial Third Prize
This project addresses outdoor safety monitoring for the elderly. It encompasses a complete technology stack including multi-sensor hardware design, embedded development, LoRa wireless communication, and edge AI inference—solving the limitation of traditional GPS devices that “only track location, not safety.”

STEAM Band: Breaking Traditional Fabrication with 3D-Printed Instruments
All band instruments are student-crafted through 3D printing and other fabrication processes, including electric guitars, basses, violins, as well as self-built electronic drums and customised keyboards.
